The coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak is likely to have long lasting economic and social impacts of global proportions. During the first few months of the outbreak, Governments around the world have been focussed on managing the spread of the disease relying in many cases on stringent transmission control measures without placing a high weight on the current and future economic costs of these measures.
The economic and social impacts are growing and here at Koru we have continued to respond to the need of our communities. We continue to explore how best we support those disadvantaged as we navigate unchartered waters. We have initiated new projects mitigating negative impacts on the poor and providing support to the most vunerable in the short and medium terms. We wish to thank our sponsors for their support as we continue to care for our communities. Kia Kaha, Kia Maia, Kia Manawanui

Resembling the unfurling frond of the native New Zealand Fern, the Koru depicts new beginnings, life and hope. |
